OUR BJJ CLASSES
The Grapple Factory team of coaches thrive on developing well rounded Grapplers at all levels. We teach 4 different classes each week across Traditional Brazillian Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals, No Gi All Levels Modern Jiu Jitsu, Leg Lock classes and our Advanced Classes.
Our All Levels Modern Jiu Jitsu focuses on the principles of bio-mechanics and dilemma formation while working through a rotating focus on different positions in the grappling game.
Our Traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes cover all the fundamentals of BJJ grappling and are designed to bring new students “up to date” on the core principles & techniques of BJJ.
Our Advanced classes deep dive into individual concepts and movement patterns including specific skill drilling and sparring.
Our leg lock classes cover the essential skills of leg entanglement, leg lock threat generation and their interaction with the overall game of grappling.
OUR BJJ TRAINING STYLE
We teach both traditional and modern styles of Jiu Jitsu passed through a lens of human movement & bio mechanics. This lets us utilise our bodies in the most efficient manner, generate force and break down our opponents who are focused on rote technique rather than problem solving.
We find this an effective way to encourage all levels of grapplers to remain interested and engaged in the sport.
We do not believe in traditional rote learning, instead we focus on the biomechanics of a movement pattern and how these mechanics are applicable in problem solving grappling situations so that our students are adaptable and fluid during their rolls, rather than looking for specific technique sequences.
If this all sounds like a lot, it is! But we make learning it fun, engaging and “easy”, so that you get good, quick!
OUR WRESTLING
This is a strategic wrestling class aimed at stand up techniques designed for a BJJ ruleset.
The strategy is focused on exhausting an opponent standing and then execution of high percentage take downs and back takes.
All levels and abilities welcome.
